Well let's see it's been a really long time since I have posted anything. Hannah had been sick twice once with just a really high fever and the second time she had the swine flu as we all got it except Logan(thank god). We all did pretty good with it Hannah did the best she got tamiflu and was feeling better in no time. School has been going ok her aide that she is used to got the flu and a sinus infection and was out for a week so we are dealing with the big change with not sleeping well.
Well it's a new year and hopefully we have a really good one Hannah had a blast at christmas she actually was very into it this year and actually played with her new toys her favorite is the small battery operated drum set my sister got her because she loves music. School vacation was great Hannah got to do a lot of first things like she went to the movies for the first time and saw Princess and the frog she also threw her first snowball and made her first angel in the snow she had soo much fun as did we watching her. Hannah and Logan had there first set of H1N1 flu shots in DEC and did fine with them they will get the second on Tuesday. Hannah got to see the new doctor at the end of Nov. he prescribed a new brace (PLS AFO's) and it took awhile to get used to them but she is walking better then she has ever, Just having difficult doing stairs but it will come. I have an I.E.P. meeting scheduled for the 26th. I hope there are no surprises for me. That about brings us up to date I hope to keep updating more frequently.

It's the end of another week and I started a job this week as lunch lady LOL. great hours so its the perfect job for now. Hannah had a great week we got the kicking under control I just have to threaten to take TV away and that does the trick. Today was picture day at school I'm dying to find out how they came out because she never smiles for my camera so I wonder how she did. Tuesday she had an appointment with the eye doctor and everything is the same she still has the weak left eye but we notice that it doesn't do it as much except when she is real tired. I thought she was coming down with something but it only seems to be at night and first thing in the morning. I saw Hannah practising for a dance that the first graders put on and I am soooooooooooo proud she is trying sooo hard. Not sure when it is but I'll take video of course..

Well it's end of the week. Hannah's report from school was about the same she is still pinching kids and kicking them when they are doing carpet time (not sure why) I have a talk with her every day about it and that doesn't seem to help. I have an I.E.P review meeting scheduled on the 23rd, we'll see what they have to say. Her feet seem to be doing good with the differnt braces the left foot seems straighter to me. SHe has an eye doc. appointment next Tues, just a yearly check-up but still has the lazy eye we are keeping our eyes on.

Second day of school for this week and of course Hannah is very tired but she is getting better every day. Teacher said she was putting everything in her mouth today at the end of the day and her hair is up so I'm assuming she was putting it in her mouth also . I made a suggestion of using her sour spray when she is looking for stimulation in the mouth we'll see if they take the advice. I'm still very stressed about her feet so today I put one compression brace on and one smo to see if that would help with the left foot problem. We'll see new doc Nov 30. Well i guess that's enough venting for now.............

Hi my name is Rochelle and I am the mother of two wonderful children Logan (9) and Hannah (6). My daughter Hannah has Cerebral palsy, but that does not define her she is the happiest kid I have ever met she is always smiling. For the past 6 years we have been fighting this disability with everything we have. The doctors said she probably wouldn't progress much from infancy but she showed them. At 3and a half she started walking on her own with only the aid of her smo braces. She came home with a g-tube after birth and we had it removed two months later and have never looked back. Her biggest obstacle is eating and speech, she can only say about 7 words right now but her sounding out letters is getting better every day. We are having a problem with her foot braces waiting to get in to see new doctor at the end of Nov. Hannah is in First grade in a regular class with the help of and aid and it is getting better every day. The teachers have never had some one like her before so they are learning how to deal with her and her lack of communication.
